The formalities will be followed by an address by eminent climate scientist Dr Graeme Pearman on the recent IPCC report and related social and policy issues.

Jo-Ann Bragg, Principal Solicitor of the Environmental Defender’s Office Queensland will then discuss current trends in Queensland and Australian environmental law, and both speakers will discuss the potential and barriers for having Earth centred law and governance (including Rights of Nature legislation) in Australia .
