On 29 February, 2012, the Australian Green Infrastructure Council (AGIC) launched the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating scheme to deliver social, economic and environmental improvements across the design, construction and operation of Australia’s infrastructure.
In order to guide infrastructure stakeholders (involved in investment, planning, procurement, design, construction and operations) on the use of the tool, the IS Foundation Training Course has been developed and AGIC is pleased to announce the first round of training courses. On successful completion of this course, participants will develop a good understanding of the IS rating scheme and will be able to assess projects or assets using the IS rating tool.
The IS Foundation Training Course is a two-day course initially being offered as follows:
Sydney 12, 13 June
Brisbane 19, 20 June
Melbourne 25, 26 June
Perth 3, 4 July
Further sessions in these and other locations will be scheduled based on demand. In-house training for groups of ten or more may also be arranged with price negotiable - please contact AGIC if interested.
The cost of the course is $1,900 for non-members and $1,500 for people from AGIC member organisations.
This is your opportunity to be one of the first IS Accredited Professionals with your name listed on the AGIC website. Places at the courses are limited so get in early. The link to the registration form is - http://www.agic.net.au/is_foundation_training_course_registration_form.pdf.
