We recognise that becoming a sustainable society is one of the biggest challenges that faces all of us. SENG fully endorses Engineers Australia's Code of Ethics, which states that engineering practitioners must act in the interest of the community and sustainability ahead of sectional interests.
In South Australia we hold regular seminars on a wide variety of topics. The seminars usually start with drinks and nibbles, and are held at Engineering House, 108 King William Street, Adelaide unless stated otherwise.
We welcome non-members, who feel they would like to be more involved. Events will be advertised on this website and the Engineers Australia website, but if you would like some more information, or have an idea for a seminar topic, please contact one of the committee members.
Typical topics include:
- Energy
- Renewables
- Transport
- Urban Design
- Economics
- Infrastructure
- Waste, Recycling, Resource conservation, Life cycle analysis
- Water, Waste Water, Water sensitive urban design
- Food
- Resources
- Manufacturing
- Leadership, management, law and politics
- Education
